Mentoring Program
The Generation to Generation (G2G) Program is seeking mentors for our teen pregnancy prevention program. The purpose of G2G is to establish a support system that will enhance the lives of teenage girls living in Ward 8 in Washington, DC. The program focuses on African-American women’s sexual and reproductive health needs.
We are searching for African American, female mentors who are 21 to 40 years old and willing to make a year-long commitment to their mentee. Mentors will attend one meeting per month, participate in a quarterly group activity, and have contact with their mentee twice a week through phone calls, e-mail, and one-on-one activities.
For more information contact Carolyn Abdullah, Adult Program Coordinator, 202-249-2123 or 202-628-7700, ext. 26.
